Riverside Cottage is a pretty 16/17
century "chocolate box" thatched cottage set in large private
gardens and surrounded by rolling Devon countryside. A truly
idyllic escape from the real world. The only passing traffic being
the occasional horse or donkey using the bridleway that runs behind
the cottage and the very occasional farm vehicle. Harcombe is a
sleepy hamlet within the Sid Valley, which is part of East Devon's
"Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". Just 5 minutes from Sidford
with its convenience store and excellent pub. Just 10 minutes to
the seaside town of Sidmouth with shops, restaurants, leisure
facilities and beach.

cottage style kitchen, with a wide beamed archway to a cosy
and tastefully furnished dining room/sitting room with a
feature inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. From here a
door leads to through to a 'garden room', a lovely relaxing room
overlooking the garden with French doors to patio with glorious
uninterrupted views over the local countryside. off here is a
downstairs cloakroom with W.C.
Stairs from the sitting room lead
to the first floor.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and an
en-suite shower room with W.C.
Bedroom 2 has twin single beds and
a bathroom with bath, handheld shower, basin and W.C.
This is a very old cottage and as
has many character features retained during the restoration work,
like low ceilings and beams.
Outside there is a patio with
table and chairs to eat at or just to enjoy the extensive country
views. Charming garden to the front of the cottage, enclosed on two
sides by borders, hedges and trees running towards the adjacent
field where the river tributary "Snod Brook" runs through. A
bridleway runs behind the cottage which is ideal for dog
walking, dogs must be kept on a lead as farm animals graze in the
area. There are other lovely walks and lanes close by.
Access & Parking: to access the
cottage, there is a ford to drive through the stream, with a
pedestrian bridge beside it. There is private parking for two cars
with a gate- shown in photos.

little signal (wifi calling reccomended) and an emergency telephone
is available.
