Excellent décor, and the fixtures are to a very high standard. The only issues are the underfloor heating and also getting the heating to work in the bathroom / towel rail. It would help if the fire in the fireplace worked to give some boost heating on the open ground floor. The TV is very small and poor quality which is astounding considering the high standard of everything else within the property. We were not amused by the miserly amount of basic consumables supplied, such as dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls which were cheap / poor quality, particularly as we were staying for two weeks considering the charges. They don't actually supply any washing machine tablets with the excuse that someone might have an allergy, well if they do, then they tend to know about it and would take their own, so this is just penny pinching, an excuse to save money! Otherwise its a really nice place, we have stayed there twice already and have rebooked for next year which is recommendation within itself. The agents Sweetcombe who manage the property are very helpful, attentive and pleasant to deal with. Great.

We just wanted to take the opportunity to clarify a few points you helpfully raised: Heating: The underfloor heating, radiators and towel rails are all in good working order. We appreciate that the controls were not as intuitive as they could have been, and the instructions have now been simplified for guests. We were pleased to assist you on the Monday and ensure everything was set correctly during your stay. TV: Since the initial installation, a larger TV has been purchased. While it is not oversized, it is modern, high quality and in keeping with the style and proportions of the living room. Starter pack of consumables: A starter pack of essentials such as toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets is provided by the housekeeping team (not the owner), and this is detailed in the pre-arrival information so guests can plan accordingly. As is standard in self-catering properties, these items are not supplied in unlimited quantities throughout the stay, however we were happy to drop more supplies to you on our visit. We truly appreciate your feedback and the fact that you have already rebooked for next year is the greatest compliment.
