Dove Chalet is a charming cedar-wood retreat set right on
Branscombe's south-facing beach, offering uninterrupted sea views
across Lyme Bay. Many guests describe this spot as "idyllic", and
it's easy to see why, nestled on one of the most picturesque
stretches of Devon's Jurassic Coast, now recognised as a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. With Branscombe beach welcoming dogs all year
round, it's the perfect place to escape with your four-legged
friend.

perfect spot for morning coffee or evening drinks while gazing out
across the beach and sea.
Parking- A parking permit is provided for one car in the main
car park (height restriction 2.2m). Dove Chalet is around 250
metres along the beach track from the car park, so we recommend
packing lightly with rucksacks or a beach trolley. Alternatively,
The Sea Shanty offers a buggy service for luggage transfer (£25,
available before 4pm, details in arrival instructions).
The location is ideal for exploring the Jurassic Coast and its
spectacular walks along the South West Coast Path and Areas of
Outstanding Natural Beauty. Family favourites such as The Donkey
Sanctuary, Pecorama, and Crealy are just a short drive away, while
local activities range from paddleboarding and watersports to golf
at Sidmouth Golf Club. The nearby towns of Sidmouth and Budleigh
Salterton boast independent shops, cafés, and restaurants,
including Otterton Mill and the award-winning Lympstone Manor.
Within walking distance you'll also find two excellent pubs, the
Fountain Head and The Masons Arms, as well as the Sea Shanty café
and shop right on Branscombe beach.
