Overview
Thyme Cottage is classed as a locally listed Heritage Asset and is furnished to a very high standard with tasteful colour schemes and homely touches throughout. The brilliant community run village pub, the "Sir Walter Raleigh", is just a minute's walk and serves local beer and great food. Woodbury Common, the River Otter and Budleigh Salterton are all within a pleasant walk through the countryside and lanes. This really is a quaint unspoilt Devon village with its ancient church and village school and shop run by the locals.
The entrance door leads to a spacious and tastefully furnished living room. There is a separate well-equipped kitchen with a large farmhouse style dining table. Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa) included.
French doors go out to a very pretty and secluded rear patio area with garden furniture and BBQ.
From the living room stairs lead to first floor.
Bedroom1: There is a spacious bedroom with double bed, fitted wardrobe with ample storage space
Bedroom 2: Further smaller bedroom with twin beds.
Newly fitted modern shower room with walk in shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
Parking: Parking for visitors is free in the village car park just opposite the cottage.
This property may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or young children due to the layout at the top of the stairs (shown in photos).
A perfect location for walking, swimming, golf, art, fishing, birdwatching along the River Otter, exploring the South West Coast Path or just relaxing. Locations nearby include East Devon Golf Club, Bicton Botanical Gardens, Otterton Mill, Exmouth, Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve, Sidmouth, Exeter City Centre and Killerton Gardens. The Donkey Sanctuary, Crealy and Pecorama are all nearby for fun filled days with the kids.
