Overview

Shimoda set on Cliff Road and is a stunning detached front-line property on the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It boasts a large south facing garden, magnificent sea views, ample parking and is just a two-minute walk to the Esplanade and town in Sidmouth.

The house is very spacious and stylishly furnished throughout, making it a perfect holiday home for special occasions & family reunions.

Entrance hall with wood panelling and parquet floor. Marble tiled cloakroom.

Lounge: Exceptionally large lounge with an open fire place and plenty of sumptuous seating. Patio doors lead to the large lawned garden.

Grand Dining Room:  Furnished with a large circular table seating eight. Patio doors leading to the elegant outdoor dining area with dining table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining.

Kitchen: Attractive family-style kitchen with two oven Aga (October-April), induction hob, multi-function oven, integrated dishwasher, waste disposal unit, under counter fridge and plenty of counter space and storage. Breakfast bar with seating for four. Painted oak kitchen units with polished copper splashbacks and granite countertops.

Utility Room: Complete with a 5' fridge, 5' freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso / Dolce Gusto coffee machine.

Pantry/Boot Room: Access doors leading to front and rear garden.

Bedroom 1: Large opulent master bedroom with queen-size bed and spacious en-suite bathroom with shower over. Magnificent views to the sea and patio doors leading to the balcony with seating.

Bedroom 2: Contemporary coastal styled bedroom with queen-size bed, also with magnificent seaviews, balcony with seating and en-suite bathroom with a walk in shower.

Outside space:  Large lawned garden with spectactular sea views which enjoys sun throughout the day and late into the evening. It is abundant with flowers during spring and summer. The terrace outside the lounge has casual outdoor seating centred around a fire pit.

Parking: At the front of the property there is off road parking for up to four cars.

Sidmouth is surrounded by exceptional countryside- much of which has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or is owned by the  National Trust. This busy and attractive town, with its abundance of interesting, independent shops and eateries is well worth a visit, whilst the esplanade overlooks the picturesque and tranquil clean beach.

Sidmouth & East Devon host an array of events throughout the year from Sidmouth Walking Festival & guided walksSidmouth Science FestivalBudleigh Salterton Literary FestivalConnaught-at-Christmas Exeter Christmas Market and Sidmouth International Jazz & Blues Festival.  During the first week of August Sidmouth hosts the annual; Folk Festival which really brings the town alive with folk music concerts, dancing, children's events and street performances.

Beautiful property, perfect for the 3-generational Easter getaway we wanted. Unparalleled views and coast path literally on the doorstep, ideal for going into the town or out along the cliffs. Sweetcombe were a pleasure to liaise with and we will be back with them again I’m sure!
