Overview

Sea Mist is a stunning, newly refurbished holiday home situated just off the beach and town centre in a peaceful location. The owners have lovingly refurbished the entire property to create a bright, fresh and contemporary home from home. The cottage faces the River Sid and has views out to the sea from the top floor king size bedroom. The beach, seafront, indoor swimming pool, children's play area, shops and cafes are just 200 yards level walk away. The footpaths overlooking the Lyme Bay coastline are easily reached from the house. In addition, there are beautiful walks in The Byes Riverside Park along the River Sid within easy walking distance.

The hall leads into a spacious, light and airy sitting room with oak flooring, pretty window seat, a feature fireplace and dining area.

There is a well-equipped cream colour kitchen with access to a paved courtyard garden.

This cottage benefits from a downstairs cloakroom with WC. 

On the first floor there is a good size bedroom overlooking the River Sid with double bed and bay window.

The spacious luxury bathroom with modern white suite comprises a bath, large walk in shower, sink and W.C.

On the second floor there is another lovely large bedroom with king size bed and dormer window with sea glimpses.

There is also a smaller third bedroom with a single bed plus rollaway bed for an extra child on request. Duvets, pillows and bed linen are provided. 

Outside there is an enclosed rear courtyard style patio area with garden furniture, hose, washing line and rear access where you can pull up to unload.

Parking: There is limited unrestricted roadside parking in front of the property. Please note the road is quite narrow for large cars and 4 x 4.  Jacob's Ladder long stay car park is a 15-minute walk along the seafront from the cottage. Tickets are £25 per week and cover all East Devon council long stay car parks.

Pet equipment: Dog towels, food and water bowls, stairgate, outside hose.

On request: Please let us know if you require the extra bed to be made up for a 6th guest (suitable for a child).

Guests can explore the   Jurassic Coast whilst enjoying stunning walks in   Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and  The South West Coast Path The Donkey Sanctuary Crealy and  Pecorama are all nearby for fun filled days with the kids. There are a wide range of activities nearby, from Paddleboarding and water skiing to Golf at   Sidmouth Golf Club. Sidmouth and the nearby local towns have a wealth of independent boutique shops, cafes and restaurants, including  Otterton Mill and  Lympstone Manor.

The accommodation was good but disturbed many times by the owner of the property and then the next door neighbour. Not the relaxing holiday we expected. Bed not suitable for an adult but not specified in the house details. Would not book again.

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback.We’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to clarify a few points. The owner only attended the property after noticing that the external aerial had been displaced during high winds, out of concern that this might affect your TV reception. At the time, this was explained and you expressed your gratitude for the prompt attention. With regard to the bed, it is clearly shown in the photographs on the website is suitable for adults and has been used by many adult guests without issue. Unfortunately, damage occurred during your stay requiring a replacement bed to be purchased, this was not brought to our attention at the time, but discovered by housekeeping at changeover, which is disappointing.
