Nestled within tranquil woodland above the charming seaside town of Sidmouth, Peakaboo is a spacious six-bedroom holiday home sleeping up to 12 guests, perfectly designed for large families, group getaways, or couples seeking a relaxing coastal retreat in Devon. Combining privacy, generous living spaces, and breathtaking views across Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast, this exceptional property offers the ideal setting for memorable stays. With multiple social areas, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor decking, and a garden room, Peakaboo is perfectly suited to everything from celebratory gatherings to peaceful escapes. Its unique layout allows guests to come together or unwind in their own space, making it one of the most desirable large holiday cottages in Sidmouth for both short breaks and extended stays.

Layout

From the driveway, 14 steps lead down to the entrance. 

Ground Floor:

Enter into the ground level where straight ahead is the open plan kitchen area. With a well equipped social kitchen with a breakfast bar. The living area features comfortable seating, a smart TV and a double sided wood burner to benefit both the lounge and dining area to seat 12 providing a cosy yet spacious area ideal for relaxing evenings together.

Along the hall from the kitchen is a handy utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink- a perfect space for beach equipment or storing adventure gear. 

Also on this level is Bedroom 5 with a king size bed, then 5 steps up to Bedroom 6 with a double bed, both bedrooms served by a bathroom with a walk in shower, WC and sink. 

First Floor:

From the entrance, stairs lead to either side to reach the upper bedrooms and bathrooms. 

Stairs to the left- Bedroom 4 with twin beds and Bedroom 2 with a king bed and dressing table. Both bedrooms served by a bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC & sink. 

Stairs to the right- Bedroom 3 with twin beds and Bedroom 1 (the Principal Bedroom) with a king size bed and TV. Both bedrooms served by a bathroom with a walk in shower, WC & sink. 

The principle bedroom also has access to the stunning Upper Deck area, with added living space, a beautiful glass fronted spot to watch the sunrise with your coffee. An oak stair case leads from here down to the lower deck and living space. 

Outside: 

Directly outside the house is a spacious table to seat 10, perfect for those warm evening alfresco dinners.  There's also a further decking area in the garden with sun loungers, with a path leading up from here to the beautiful 'Tikaboo'. An oak and glass garden room nestled amongst the tree's with views over Sidmouth and out to sea, a lovely spot for dining or just soaking up this serene setting. 

Dogs: 

Two well behaved dogs welcome, please note the garden is not secure in the woodland

By bus: From Exeter bus station take number 9 bus to Sidmouth Triangle. Approximately 50 minutes.

By plane: The closest airport is Exeter International. Approximately 30 minutes
