Jula at Goviers
It was a pleasure to meet with the owner of Jula and to understand the rich and interesting history of the property. The flat has been completely renovated to a very high standard and having spoken with the owner it most certainly has been a labour of love. This is reflected in the “eye for detail” and the finishing touches within the flat.

For the last 3 years they have lovingly planned, rebuilt, and repurposed this 300-year-old historic building. It now provides retail space on the High Street for 'Liberty Belle' a small furniture/gift shop and two luxury holiday apartments on the upper floors named 'Ada' (Govier) after the founder of the business and 'Jula' (Angela Govier) Ada's granddaughter who decorated and sold her pottery in the shop in the 1950s. Both apartments are accessed off the quiet pedestrian Church Lane and have been superbly fitted out, themed with images depicting the history of the business and building, mixed with stunning photographs of the Jurassic coastline taken by the owners.
