Overview

Dairy Cottage is a self-contained annex of a detached house in the hamlet of Weston, which is just off the South West Coast Path and the Jurassic coast. Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in the countryside, whether that's exploring the nearby walking trails and beaches, or visiting nearby attractions.

The cottage is just for two and your dog is more than welcome.

Step in to the open plan living area with wooden flooring, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area.

A door leads to an inner hall with storage cupboard and stairs leading to the first floor.

Bedroom: A double aspect  bedroom with a king size bed and lovely views over the countryside and Donkey Sanctuary fields. En-suite shower room with large walk in shower and WC.

Dairy Cottage has a small private patio & seating area along with use of the next door owners large garden.

Parking: There is off road private parking for 1 car next to the property.

The Donkey Sanctuary is on the doorstep, with acres of lovely fields to walk around and see the donkeys. Weston Beach, a long and unspoilt pebble beach is a short 15-minute walk down the valley (longer coming back up!). The Fountain Head Pub in Branscombe is also within walking distance or a 5-minute drive. Nearby attractions include the Norman Lockyer observatory, The Donkey Sanctuary, Otterton Mill, Stuart Line Cruises, Seaton Tramway and RSPB Nature reserves. There are also delicious restaurants to taste the best of the South West Produce such as The Masons Arms, The Pig at Combe, The River Exe Cafe and Lympstone Manor.

Please note, you may find the internet connection patchy at times due to its remote countryside location.

Cottage was cosy & clean. Good oven for when you're eating in, comfortable bed, decent shower. Location was excellent, we walked miles and it was lovely being next to the Donkey Sanctuary. The only negative was the (gas) heating which is controlled from the owners home. We returned early one afternoon because it was raining & the cottage was cold. The info folder said the heating came on at 4pm so we wrapped up and waited but it still hadn't come on when we set off to walk to the pub after 6pm. Mentioned this in the review to Sweetcombe who said we should have phoned the owners, but they were out. Sweetcombe made me feel like it was my fault. Basically it's a good cottage for summer but don't go in the cooler months (it was the nicest week in April when we stayed).
