A return to number 4 was a treat. I must have stayed 8 or 9 times since 2018 but I’ve been trying other accommodation for my frequent visits to Sidmouth over the last 2 years or so.
I’d forgotten how splendid the brilliant conversion is and I feel it’s a privilege to use such unique accommodation for a holiday.
The atmosphere is superb, a beautiful, historic building decorated in a modern contemporary way which combine well. It is clearly loved by its current owners.
Although the coffee machine was sorely missed, the comfortable beds with fine white bed linen and perfect location were much appreciated.
The apartment felt welcoming and clean upon arrival.
The sitting room on the “ piano nobile” reminds me of a Venetian Palazzo it is so grand but very welcoming, comfortable and light. The huge windows gaze over the church offering an almost timeless view. The location can’t be bettered for convenience and a peaceful environment.
I’ll miss it next year but please accept my thanks for all that number 4 has given me since I’ve been on my own.
Sweetcombe thank you for leading me there.
I very much hope to return in 2026.
