44 Fore Street is a fabulous cottage in the heart of Topsham. The cottage dates back to the early 1900s and is Grade 2 listed. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is ideal place to stay for either exploring the area, bird watching, sailing, cycling, lovely walks along the estuary or catching the small local train into Exeter or Exmouth! The accommodation is spacious, light and airy with high quality furnishings throughout. The views from the rear of the cottage provide superb estuary views of the River Exe.
The front door is just off Topsham's high street and leads into the entrance hall. An open plan living and dining area with wood burning effect stove. Luxury kitchen with storage and cooking appliances.
Stairs lead to the first floor where there are two bedrooms.
The Master bedroom has views of the high street, a double bed and a fully tiled en-suite shower room with sink and w.c.
The second bedroom has twin beds and views over the estuary.
There is a separate fully tiled shower room with sink and w.c.
An access door from the living area has stairs leading down to the garage where there is parking for one small car or could be used to store bicycles and kayaks. The garage door leads out onto the street below and banks of the River Exe.
The nearby carparks on The Quay and Holman Way offer alternative parking.
Topsham is a delightful town on the banks of the Exe Estuary within easy distance of the coastal towns of Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. The Cathedral city of Exeter is also a short drive away. Topsham is served by a regular rail link from Exeter to Exmouth, just a short walk from the property, ideal for those wishing to use public transport. Topsham has a wealth of high-quality shops, inns and restaurants offering varied cuisine, not to mention the Saturday farmers market. Michael Caines retaurants at Lympstone Manor and Mickeys are a short drive away. Topsham boasts an outdoor swimming pool, bowling club, sailing club and delightful walks and cycle path along the Exe Estuary trail ideal for bird watching. There are a range of nearby activities from watersports to days out at Bicton Gardens, Crealy Adventure Park and The Donkey Sanctuary.

By bus: Exmouth & Topsham: From Exeter take route number 57 to Exmouth & Topsham. Approximately 1 hour.
By train: Exmouth has a central train station with good connections. Topsham has a small train station that has a direct line to Exmouth & Exeter with good connections.
By plane: The closest airport is Exeter International. Approximately 20 minutes.
