What a lovely and unusual property Otter Barn is. The property benefits from being light and airy throughout and has been furnished with guests comfort in mind. There is a small courtyard area to the side of the property for guest use, this also leads up to a beautiful large, secluded garden for guest’s private use that enjoys rather lovely views of the surrounding areas.

Overview

The accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and is spacious, bright and airy with high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and wood flooring to the main living areas. The colour schemes and furnishings are tastefully presented throughout. Otterton is a charming village with thatched cottages lining the main street leading to the River Otter where you can spend many an hour walking along the riverbank bird watching, painting and relaxing, picnic set provided. There is a working mill with an excellent cafe, crafts shop and bakery as well as a local inn serving good food with a garden area. The small, unspoilt coastal resorts of Sidmouth and Budleigh Salterton are just a few minutes drive away or a pleasant walk along the Jurassic coastal path. 

Stairs to a comfortable and tastefully furnished living area with exposed beams, wood floor with scatter rugs. Open plan kitchen with dining area. A few steps up to an open plan mezzanine sitting room with a high vaulted ceiling overlooks the living area below (on the mezzanine there is a king size sofa bed that can be made up for 2 extra guests). Two bedrooms, one with a double bed with open views over the village and countryside, further single bedroom with a child's top bunk bed (this room has a pull out for an extra person if required and enough room for a cot). Large bathroom with shower over bath, W.C. and hand basin. At the rear of the garage there is a utility room/boot room. From the living room a pathway leads to a large secluded, sloping, walled private garden with patio area, garden furniture and charcoal barbecue, a real sun trap which overlooks the surrounding area.
