Sweetcombe had a new website launched in November 2020 and we have had many compliments about how user friendly it is and how useful it is for guests to be able to make safe online payments and bookings online 24 hours a day. We also offer an owners log in area to make it quick and easy for you to view your bookings.
Many people may think that booking platforms such as Air B and B, Booking.com and Trip Advisor may be competition for companies such as Sweetcombe. However, we can use these booking platforms to give new properties a push and fill in any gaps. Our booking system is integrated to update the calendars on each platform including our own website so we do not have double bookings. Over 80% of bookings we get each year are recommendations or returning customers directly to our website but it’s always good to be ahead of the game when it comes to effective marketing.
We have an active social media presence on Facebook and Instagram where we often run competitions for our guests who help spread the word about wonderful holidays in East Devon any time of the year. We regularly write blogs about the local area, events and the properties. We are pleased to say we have over 15,000 customers who have signed up to our online newsletter. We produce these every couple of months to let our guests know what offers and events we have coming up via email.
We work closely with a national marketing company who are on hand to help us with ideas and track our online presence as well as local tourist information centres, Visit Devon, South West Coast Path, Jurassic Coast, local estate agents and other businesses.
