In excess of 18 lights / bulbs not working, some of which required replacement parts. In both bathrooms light above the sink not working. TV not working in the kitchen and no BBC 2 on the main tv in the lounge. We arrived on the Friday, but the maintenance worker could not come until the Monday. We queried why the cleaners had not reported these maintenance issues, told they were external cleaners. The photos show that the house was quite dirty and required repairs. We reported all these issues but apart from the lights nothing was done.

Response

Dear Trevor Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review The owners deal with all maintenance and Housekeeping at York House and resolved the lighting issues within 48 hours. York House has generous lighting provision with multi arm chandeliers, wall lights and table lamps and lighting in the property was not compromised by the bulb outages. The Television issue on investigation was a new aerial issue, this has been replaced , but unfortunately could not be completed during your stay. We have not previously received any reports of cleanliness issues, and this is not reflective of our usual standards and the owner will monitor ongoing.. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. Kind Regards The Sweetcombe Team
