What better choice than Sidbury for your self catering holiday cottage accommodation or a short break in the quieter times of the season.
Sidbury is a delightful village at the head of the Sid Valley, a pretty place of thatch, slate and white-washed cob, many of the cottages belong to the 16th Century. There is a good village shop and pub, along with the Church of St Giles reputed to date back some 1300 years.
There are also some lovely walks through lanes and surrounding fields. The very pretty Sweetcombe Walk starts from the village car park and is well worth doing.
Sidbury is about 3 miles from the beach at Sidmouth and 5 miles from the busy and interesting market town of Honiton - famous the world over for its lace which dates back to Elizabethan times and antique shops.
